The Biomedical Student Association is a student-run organization at CSU dedicated to exploring careers in human and animal healthcare, biomedical research, and related fields. We aim to support student growth and engagement through meetings, panels, and interactive events.

What is Biomedical Sciences?
|
Biomedical sciences is a broad field that connects basic science with medicine. It focuses on how biology applies to human and animal health, as well as disease. We study a mix of subjects like anatomy, physiology, microbiology, chemistry, genetics, and more. Basically, its all the science behind how the body works and what happens when things go wrong.

What if I'm not a BMS major?
BSA is made up of active Biomedical Sciences (BMS) majors, students on the waitlist, and anyone curious about what BMS is all about! If you’re interested in becoming a BMS major or want to learn more about the program, please reach out to one of our advisors, Heather Galanty, Sarah Maddox, or Deb Misuraca. They’re happy to guide you and provide all the info you need to help you find the right path forward, no matter your goals!
What kind of opportunities will I have?
You will have opportunities to volunteer in the community, participate in social events, attend events exclusive to BSA club members, and meet a great group of people who have similar interests and career paths as yourself.

No matter your year in school, BSA offers a great chance to connect with other students who share your interests. Through the club, you’ll have opportunities to engage with CSU professors, doctors, PAs, fellow students, and more. You can also get involved in the community through various volunteer activities. Whether you want to learn more about biomedical sciences or just need a study buddy, BSA is here to support you!
